Project Home LA

  • Westmount Drive Condominium Remodel

This condo was like totally 80's! A great era for music, but a dated look for these new homeowners. We designed a plan to open up the cul-de-sac Kitchen with a large pass-through to the Living Room to link the spaces for entertaining.  We also changed the ingress/egress to the kitchen by removing that wall and building a new island with breakfast bar seating. All new appliances, hidden stacking washer/dryer combo, undercounter microwave, custom cabinets and engineered quartz counter tops created a clean, smart, functional kitchen with contemporary style. We designed and installed a custom floor-to-ceiling Texas limestone fireplace with distressed beam hearth, new lighting and a modern staircase leading to the upstairs loft. Light Gray engineered-hardwood floors in the public spaces and fresh carpet in the  bedrooms completed the transformation.

    Kings Road Condominium Remodel

The scope of work for this project included new engineered hardwood floors, guest bath remodel, updated electrical, lighting, paint and carpets for a quick refresh upon purchase.

1933 Historic Spanish Addition and Remodel

This 1933 quintessential LA Spanish home in the Miracle Mile North Historic Preservation Overlay Zone was lovingly restored, enlarged and modernized while still staying true to its historic provenance.  The scope of work included 500 sq ft addition for a larger kitchen and new family room, plus rear patio, upper deck and convenient upstairs laundry room. Infrastructure upgrades such as electrical, copper re-pipe, new mainline drainage, and new central HVAC. Careful attention was paid to fixtures, materials and finishes to provide modern enhancements while still maintaining the integrity of the original house.  The result was a warm and welcoming home for the owners and their guests.

    Palm Springs Condominium Remodel

This was another 80's time capsule in need of updating to a contemporary vibe with a nod to Palm Springs' Mid-Century Modern flair. The scope of work for the project include removing the kitchen walls and raising the ceiling to more than double the size of the kitchen to create a spacious entertaining area.  New porcelain "wood" tile throughout provides cool continuity room to room and the new obscured glass doors keep things light and bright, while still private. Updated and reconfigured bathrooms reflect today's lifestyle including an oversize double shower in the master bathroom.  Low energy LED lighting, a custom industrial chandelier under the skylight in the new dining room, wall-mounted TV's and a chic new stone fireplace all contribute to a clean, modern aesthetic. All of the textured treatments on the walls and "popcorn" ceilings were redone to contemporary smooth finished. Drought-tolerant landscaping, automatic sprinklers and low-voltage LED lighting transformed the private courtyard into a desert oasis.
